Nhân tài ngành tài chính-ngân hàng: nguồn nhân lực nòng cốt.
 "Ngành tài chính-ngân hàng đỏi hỏi nguồn nhân tài, đặc biệt là những chuyên gia có nhiều kinh nghiệm và kiến thức mới về tài chính-ngân hàng nhằm đáp ứng sự thay đổi nhanh chóng của công nghệ, dịch vụ, môi trường cạnh tranh và đem đến những đóng góp hữu ích."

Các công ty săn đầu người hàng đầu tại Việt Nam ngày càng trở lên bận rộn với việc săn tìm những chuyên gia có năng lực cho ngành tài chính - ngân hàng. Chỉ riêng trong lĩnh vực Ngân hàng tính đến năm 2010 có khoảng 175,250 người đang làm việc trong ngành và dự tính đến năm 2020 sẽ tăng lên 541,513 người, trong đó 70 % là nhu cầu về nhân sự cấp quản lý, chuyên viên có nghiệp vụ, năng lực cao.

Và cũng theo các chuyên gia về nguồn nhân lực, các vị trí quản lý trong lĩnh vực dịch vụ tài chính ngân hàng được “săn” đón và được đãi ngộ mức lương rất cạnh tranh (từ vài ngàn cho đến vài chục ngàn USD/tháng), dự báo trong những năm tới nguồn nhân lực nói chung trong ngành dịch vụ tài chính sẽ tăng lên gấp nhiều lần.

Nhận biết và nhằm phát triển nguồn nhân tài trong lĩnh vực tài chính-ngân hàng, Viện Công nghệ Châu Á (AIT) giới thiệu chương trình Thạc sĩ chuyên nghiệp ngành Tài chính-Ngân hàng tại Hà Nội và TP. Hồ Chí Minh. Đây là chương trình thạc sĩ chuyên sâu kéo dài trong thời gian một (01) năm và được giảng dạy bởi các giáo sư quốc tế từ AIT và các đối tác từ Thụy Sĩ, Mỹ, NewZealand, Đài Loan, cùng các giảng viên mời là chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực tài chính ngân hàng.

Chương trình Thạc sĩ chuyên nghiệp Tài chính-Ngân hàng của AIT cung cấp những kiến thức mới và các kĩ năng cần thiết cho các chuyên gia hiện đang làm việc trong ngành tài chính ngân hàng, hay những chuyên gia đang mong muốn theo đuổi cơ hội nghề nghiệp trong lĩnh vực này, hỗ trợ việc ra quyết định trong các doanh nghiệp tài chính.

Trong chương trình này các học viên sẽ được tạo cơ hội đi tham quan hoặc thực tập thực tế tại nước ngoài (Châu Á, châu Âu) để chia sẻ kinh nghiệm cũng như học hỏi và mở rộng các cơ hội của doanh nghiệp mình.

AITVN organize PMFB Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party

The first entry of Professional Master program in Finance and Banking (PMFB program) was organized at Duxton Hotel on Saturday 07 January, 2012.

This event was attended by Dr. Amrit Bart - AITVN Director, Mr. Ng. Engwan - AIT faculty, Dr. Li Chun An - Professor from Yuntech University Taiwan, all of PMFB students, AITVN staffs.

PMFB at AIT, Vietnam provides knowledge and skills for professionals working on financial industry who are looking for high quality education in both theory and application with international curriculum and teaching faculties. The program provides techniques, tools and background for decision makers to succeed in today's competitive and repidly changing financial services environment. It also provides information management related courses that have always been essential in financial industries. Students will not only be equipped with professional expertise but also be able to establish financial business systems for their decision making.

Students admitted to this program for 2012 intake are senior managers working in prominent banks and financial groups, such as HSBC, City Bank, Common Wealth, An Binh Bank, Chifon Bank and Viettin Bank. This is a full-year program deliveried in Ho Chi Minh city. In addition to the course work (24 credits), and a research project (6 credits), students will visit other countries, focusing on issues related to financial service industry.

Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN) is pleased to announce the launch of AIT new International Professional Master Program in Finance and Banking (PMFB) with the faculties of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), its partner universities and International invited experts from international finance Industries.

This interdisciplinary program offers senior officers/professionals in-depth financial and technology expertise required to compete at the high levels because:

  • Banking and financial institutions are equipped with very sophisticated and effective business systems and infrastructure (IT, Risk Management System,..), technology is rapidly changing all the time. Professionals need advanced knowledge, skills and ability to lead and manage such modern financial business effectively.
  • Liberalization and competitions pave the way for better financial products and services to meet the changing needs of customers in coming years
  • More skilled professionals are needed as foreign banks and JSBs seek to penetrate and expand market share.
  • More sophisticated knowledge in management and finance services are key success factors to compete and survive in industries consolidation and modernization.
PMFB at AIT in Vietnam provides professional knowledge and skills for professionals working in the large scale financial industries who are looking for a high quality education in both theory and application with International curriculum in finance sectors. It provide techniques, tools and background for decision makers or assistance to decision makers in the finance sectors in an international and emerging environment/market. This program also provides Information management related courses that have always been essential in financial industries. The trained students will be not only equipped professional expertise but also be able to establish financial business systems for their decision making.

Target Applicants
Professionals working at a senior level in banking, insurance and finance service sectors,  including retail banking, commercial banking, private banking, corporate finance in such areas as Investment, Asset Management, consulting or with corporate finance positions with international organizations who would like to develop career in-depth in financial theory and applications.



The candidates should hold at least a Bachelor degree in related field of financial markets, financial institutions, corporate finance, business and economics, microeconomics, auditing, accounting, …Or other fields, but having strong analytical and statistical skills, have gone through intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics training and experiences.


The candidates should have at least three years of working experience in finance and banking sectors.

Covers all major topics of finance and financial management such as corporate finance, options and derivatives, financial institution management, behavioral finance. The courses not only focused on the theories, but also teach students how to apply them to their works.
Prepares the financial services professionals/managers advanced information and communication technologies in the demanding environment of the financial services sector such as IT and database management in Finance sectors.
It also offers specialized courses in markets study, financial investment and how to manage effectively all the kinds of risk in financial sectors.

Program structure

The program will be mainly delivered totally in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and/or Hanoi) within 12 months (2 Semesters and 1 Inter-semester). The Program will be based on 33 credits out of which 24 credits will be coursework for each with 3 credit and final practical project with 6 credits. The final project can be undertaken related to issues in the Financial Services industry
For the convenience of working conditions, each course of 2 credits will be delivered in 30 hours. In most cases, the students will complete 30 hours intensively in the evenings and weekends from Saturday to the Saturday of the following week. Students will concentrate on a final project under the close supervision of professors and should be able to graduate at the end of the Inter-semester.
The program is designed in such a way that provides flexible options for students who would not have favorable conditions to support his/her study; particularly it consists of three components:
       Course works (24 credits) will be delivered totally in Vietnam (compulsory)
       Field trips in one of countries in the region. (optional)
       Internship in one of countries in Europe (1 month) or in Taiwan (2 weeks) (optional)
       Research projects in Vietnam (compulsory)
English Entry Requirement

AIT is an international institute with English as the sole language of instruction. Admission to AIT requires proof of English language proficiency which may be satisfied in any of the following:



  • IELTS (4.5)
  • TOEFL (Paper -based: 500; Computer - Based:173; or Internet - based: 61)
  • AITEIT (4.5). Applicants can apply for English Test offered by AIT at AIT-VN. English Test fee:  20 USD.



AIT-VN  will support for those who need more English and Academic Skills before joining the program. AIT-VN will provide consultation and advise candidates to take AITEIT test and conduct the test on request.


Entry Requirement

To be eligible for admission to the AIT Professional master's program, an applicant must:



  • Hold a Bachelor degree (normally from a four-year program), or its equivalent, in the fields related to finance and banking such as financial markets, financial institutions, corporate finance, business and economics, microeconomics, auditing, accounting, IT applications in Banking and Finance…
  • Have undergraduate grades significantly above average.
  • Have good command of English
  • At least three year of working experiences



Application form can be downloaded at www.aitcv.ac.vn/pmfb. Application submission fee:  20 USD. This fee is paid to AITCV when applicants submit the application documents.This is a non-refundable application fee.

   
 Tuition and Fees

The tuition fee of 12,050 USD is the tuition fee for course works, special study and research projects (including training materials). This is the AIT standard tuition (350USD/credit and 500 USD as registration fee) and fee for the Proffesioanl master program with 33 credits. The registration fee must be paid at the admission time while the tuition fee can be paid in full before the start of the program or by installments as before each semester. The students are responsible for their living expenses throughout the program.

Fee for field trip and internships are optional and can be estimated to the total amount of 1,500 USD for field trips (including accomodation, airticket for field trips) and International Internship in one of foreign countries - 2,000 USD (including accomodation, airticket)
